The current collective agreement negotiated by the C.L.R.A.M. with the Union requires C.P.I. adjustments to be updated, effective May 1, 2024, by percentage changes in the Statistics Canada Consumer Price Index (C.P.I.), for All Items Manitoba (percentage change to the nearest 5 cents) between the calendar period of March 2023 to March 2024.
Effective May 1st, 2016 and each year thereafter the parties agreed to utilize the allowable in-year CRA Vehicle Allowance per kilometer Guideline in order to ensure that this vehicle cost remains as a non-taxable allowance to the employee. For May 1, 2024, the current guideline is 70¢/km for the first 5,000 kilometers driven, 64¢/km driven after that.
The C.P.I. for All Items Costs (Manitoba) reports the percentage change as an increase of 0.8% (adjusted to the nearest 5 cents).
Article 18:02 (A) Zone A from $96.80 to $97.60 per day worked.
Article 18:02 (A) Zone B from $167.55 to $168.90 per day worked.
Article 18:02 (A) Zone C from $193.30 to $194.85 per day, seven (7) days per week ($1363.95).
