TO ALL FIRST DISTRICT CONSTRUCTION LOCAL UNIONS
Greetings:
As you are aware, there are several projects across the country being performed by the Christian Labour Alliance of Canada (CLAC) that are currently seeking manpower. These projects can only succeed with a highly skilled and dedicated workforce such as the membership of the IBEW First District. It is imperative that our members do not work on these projects and help our competition continue to take IBEW work and undercut our contractors.
Please be advised that in addition to Saskatchewan, there is now a hot job declared in Manitoba which is the jurisdiction of Local Union 2085. Correspondence from Local Union 2085 Business Manager Dave McPhail is attached for your review and distribution.
Any members discovered on these jobs, will be subject to charges under Article 25, Section 1, sub-section (f) of the IBEW Constitution by the jurisdiction in which the infraction takes place. These Local Unions will have my full support in protecting the jurisdiction of the IBEW!
